After that, she travelled a lot, and it wasn’t until her twenties that she realised that this was actually the kind of experience she felt like doing on a regular basis.

 

« For a while I didn’t really earn any money but I was affording to do the things I loved doing. And then in 2004 a group of friends went out to climb Aconcagua in South America, and I said ‘I want to go as well!’ That was an opportunity to climb my first big mountain, and that was when it really all started. »

She then went on to consecutively reach the tops of Cho Oyu in Nepal in September 2008, Muztagata in China and Loubuche East in Nepal in April 2009 as well as Mount Rainier in the US in July 2009.

 

At this point, she felt ready to approach her dream
